Stave Gaines reports as the North sent four teams to the event, held at Wollaton park Nottingham.
The event used a very hilly and testing course using mulitiple 2Km laps, the lap used the area immediately in front of the hall – where the old CAU start hill was. This made for a very spectator friendly course, but did test the athletes.
The event proved a very successful one for the North, with many younger developing athletes getting their first taste of competition at this level. Another plus was the fact that selected athletes were from  clubs across the area, making for a good geographical mix
The teams and results in each of the 4 races are summarised below. Thanks to Rob Cameron for all his hard work organising the team and to Andy Rodgers and Anne Griffiths for helping with team management for the event. Thanks also to Ian Byett & the ECCA team for organising the event and for the team invitationsI have lots of photos of the athletes, should anyone want copies please contact Steve Gaines
